It has been an incredible journey and now 9189 is graduating. It has been a genuine pleasure getting to virtually know all of you on the forum, and I am eternally grateful for all the advice and guidance I received over the course of the build.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without Dave Smith and his team at Factory Five. Thank you for making these builds possible and for allowing many of us to build our dream car.

Thank you scottiec for allowing me to wrench on your kit a couple of times which convinced me the build was something I could do.

Thank you to my beautiful wife for indulging me as I undertook this journey. When I waffled on whether or not to pull the trigger her “just order the kit” got me to write the final check.

Much appreciation goes to the following builders for putting forth the time and effort to create detailed build threads which were instrumental to me: EdwardB, Wareagle, Jazzman, Papa, GoDadGo, and others.

Much obliged to Naz, AC Bill, RBachman, ILPBFoot, TMartinLVNV, Mark Reynolds, Jeff Kleiner, Jeff Miller, phileas fogg, boat737, Big Blocker, and many others for helping me troubleshoot issues along the way.

Mucho Gracias to BadAsp427 for safely and swiftly transporting my car to Georgia and back for paint and body work.

Finally, thanks overall to the Factory Five Forum – you guys are the best.

Now, anyone in the NOVA area wanna go cruizin????

Congratulations, she looks awesome!

Color combination is really terrific, and I love the unique touches you added. What a great way to enjoy the rest of summer.

Best of luck as you get started driving the wheels off her!

Steve

Looks fantastic, RJD! I like the color - what is it? Also, liked what you did with your mesh grill. Can you share any any info. on what you used, and how you attached?

Thanks Chris. The main color is Ford Magnetic Grey Metallic and the stripes are BMW Titan Silver. I saw this combination on another forum roadster and loved it. I wish I could remember who it was so I could give him credit.

I ordered the front grills from Breeze. I attached them as shown in the pictures below, but that is probably overkill. I think most guys attach them with silicone adhesive.

I did Magnetic and Titan Silver for a customer about 2 months ago.

But it wasn’t the first! That was Nathan Burgess “Silver Pilate”. The owner of the one I did brought me a Photo of Nathan’s and said “Make it like this!” It’s a great combination
