Hi,

I'm running a blueprint Ford 347 carbeurated with a holley fuel pump. I don't need a return system so I won't need the 1/4" line components, correct?

Under part 14652 which is fuel line components, I was given a 3 foot 1/4" flexible fuel line and a 5/16" 3 foot flex fuel line. The 5/16 one is used for connecting the fuel filter to the fuel pump correct? Also what line us used for the engine? Is it In a different box? I'll list a attachment below of the inventory sheet that these parts are on. It came in box 2A. Also for my fuel pump, the thread on the end of the fuel line is too small to thread into the fuel pump. So I'd use the 5/16 brass union and run a flexible line to the hard line? Then how can I connect the flex line back to the hard line?

Anyome know what size are the threads inside the fuel pump are? Will my 5/16 in brass union work?

Sorry for the bombardment of questions. Any help if appreciated. Thanks! 151345151346

I have the same setup and this is what I did. Not an expert before this build so take it with a grain of salt but so far it works. No I did not use the 1/4 inch for any of the fuel lines. I ran 5/16 flex from tank to pump. I took the pump to Napa to get the connector that screws into the pump with a 5/16 male end for the flex line from pump to filter. I think the screw size to the pump is 3/8 but not 100%. Flex line from filter to hard line using connection from kit. Hard line to flex line in engine bay then connector from flex line to fuel line on carb that came with engine. Had to purchase that connector but can not remember the size of that line.

I hope that confusing post helps some.

I Have the same set up — 347 carbed. We had flexible line from tank to a pump, then 1/4 line underneath, then a pix of flexible line to filter, and then flexible line to a carburetor. We ran into some leaking issues with 1/4 line and some unions, so ended up using fuel-safe flexible line everywhere.
