Has anyone used Apple AirPod Pros to help with the exhaust sound in lue of ear plugs?
I just got a set for work phone calls while I have my hands full or instead of speaker phone and it dawned on me they kind work similar to ear plugs and the noise cancelling is actually really good and the sound quality for music is fantastic but I haven’t put them to the test against a 427 exhaust note so I thought I’d ask if anyone has tried them out. Do they help with the sound in lue of earplugs?
We ordered the Gas-N touring pipes so maybe that info helps.

I never leave home without them. They work way better than the orange earplugs I used to use and you can hear the music with them on the highway. I do, however, put them in Transparency mode when I come to lights and stop signs to improve hearing of the outside world.

I use them all the time. much more comfortable than ear plugs, can listen to music if you want to, and you can even talk to a passenger (and hear them) in the noise canceling mode. Best cobra accessory!

I use the Bose equivalent. They work great!

I don’t step foot into my roadster without my AirPods. I go one step further and wear “over the head” ear muffs in conjunction with the AirPods. It sounds fantastic, as if I were in a music studio. I still retain a decent ability to hear loud traffic sounds like sirens and horns. Especially with the transparency feature enabled. I’ve done about 4K miles with this setup in the greater metro NY & suburban areas. Plenty of traffic to negotiate. Music soothes the soul and hearing loss is irreversible. Two for the price of one!

I'm a big fan of active noise cancelling headphones in various environments (airplane, around the house, etc.) but please know that they are not proven effective at protecting hearing. They are great at filtering out some steady, low frequency sounds but not as good at other sounds. There is no NRR rating on Bose or AirPods Pro or any other active noise cancelling headphones. They may make some noises seem quieter but I would not trust my hearing safety on them.

Big fan of my Airpods Pro as well. Drove my Daytona from Florida back to Maryland, made it like riding in a S-Class :)
In the Roadster, it cuts down the wind noise, which is the killer on long dive on the Interstate.

I have the new Bose equivalent and they work great. They don't silence the outside world, but the sure make it a lot more tolerable.
