One of the most unexpected aspects of building my car has been how many other builders I've had the opportunity to meet. I've had several potential builders come by to see the car and talk, and this weekend added two to that list.

Friday, capt1black stopped by while vacationing with his family from Florida! Great guy and great to meet his wife and son as well. Then on Saturday, I met another local builder through the Mile-Hi Cobra Club that acquired a partially-built kit that needed some help. He'd never driven, or even ridden in one of these cars, so we did a quick ride and I think that re-energized him on the build.

That is great!

Maybe I should stop by next time I'm on your side of the state.

Do you know if the Mile-Hi has members on the western slope? Maybe I should join the club.

I don't know of any that far west, but the club does some multi-day trips that you might enjoy. Some drive their cars the entire trip and others trailer them part of the way and drive other parts.

By all means, if you find yourself in the Denver metro area, give me a shout via PM.

We had a great time. The car is beautiful and you are as helpful in person as in this forum. Thank you for taking the time for us. As you said when I was there, this forum likes to spend others money, well Kerry got some ideas from your car that I know will cost me some more. Lol, all good stuff.

Chris,

Glad you guys enjoyed the visit, too. I noticed Kerry really looking over the car and asking a lot of questions. Isn't it great when our wives are truly involved in the process? You'll have to let me know what caught her attention.

Yes it does, she is a car girl since high school. she does not want to work on it, but will help if I need it. But She is very interested in the end product. She also is picking the color eventually. I think the leather caught her eye but she liked the whole car. Although she liked the sound of the gass-n, Surprisingly she is ok with the ffr pipes I have on now.
