How were you able to do that? That’s very cool.

Very cool! That's a huge facility and iconic track. What a treat to drive your car around that track.

Charity event. With a donation to the Nascar Foundation people were allowed to drive their personal cars two laps around the facility.

Good for you - on both counts!

We did Talladega a few years ago in our Lotus Europa twin cam on the Tracks fan appreciation day , We also did Indy in our 66 Studebaker Daytona and the Monster mile in our 64 Studebaker Daytona , We able to do the last two because the Studebaker club (SDC) was having its international meets at or near the tracks , Its a blast although the Twin cam didn't care for the banks at Talladega , Ed

Daytona, Charlotte, VIR, Buttonwillow, etc are all incredible tracks. Getting the chance to drive on the tracks give you more of a perspective, and view point from someone actually racing on the track.
But for me it was Indy! For the first few laps at Indy I was so into ... "I'm at INDY"
All the other tracks had high kool value but INDY, for me was, THE bucket list track.

SCCA Track Night in America does Daytona and many other tracks. The next one is sold out though.

You usually get 3 - 20 minute sessions in their events. As fast as you want, with controlled passing.
