This is a decent overview of the differences, but HP and torque differences are just the tip of the iceberg. The truck engine has physical differences as well. The front accessory drive is different. The oil filter mount is different as it is aimed forward. The most significant difference is that some of the truck engine use a different firing order than does the Mustang version. This is a problem with using the Ford Performance Coyote Controls Pack. The controls pack is the simplest why to control a swapped engine. Reconfiguring a truck engine to use the Mustang controls pack can be and has done, just more work. So sometimes a bargain in buying a truck motor isn't such a bargain.
