Tachometer seems to 500rpm high everwhere

Before today I didn’t care to much regarding what the tachometer was saying due to having the sniper handheld as well as the tachometer was never calibrated for the set up. Setting it up the tachometer was already set at 4/stroke but it really read at 4500 vs the 4000. Going through all the settings they alll seem to be 500 rpm above 1500,2500,3500,4500 vs what should be 1000,2000,3000,4000. Additionally,when the car is dead, is sits at 500 rpm?


Help or ideas?

Several have reported something similar. Check the dial. It can rotate during installation. Likely the needle is correct. It's just pointing to the wrong value. :rolleyes:
