View Full Version : Tilton reservoir location
I just realized that I may have placed my Tilton reservoir too far forward and it may interfere with the hood strut. Before I went moving it, which would require shortening the hoses and having to re-bleed the brakes, I thought I'd post a picture in hopes of getting some feed back.

I recommend no more than 12 inches from the front of the footbox to the furthest point on the reservoirs. That will clear with a little to spare. Your height looks fine.

Thanks Paul. It was actually your 20th Anniv. thread that brought this to my attention. I was looking up something regarding wiring on your thread and stumbled across a picture you posted where you had put a piece of tape on the frame reminding you not to put anything from that point forward because of the strut. I don't know how I missed that in the past as I use your build thread as much as I use the manual. And I just measured and I am at 11 1/2 inches. You just made my day!
