F5 has decided to not return my calls (made 3 over 2 weeks apart so I didn't seem like a nuisance) or e-mails (same as the calls) in regard to where they sourced the rubber portion of the cooling system hoses. I am updating my build with new heads and aside from the fact the rubber portion was already dry rot cracking I had to cut them off as they gripped too tightlyo come off. Intuitively I though that that the donor I used, being a 5.0, would be the source of the hose, but no. It fit over the end of the outgoing intake end but it the hose shrinks down shortly after that making it too small to go over the stainless flex tubing. I've sunk $90 into hoses (trust me, not hard to do at all) with no acceptable results. Anyone else out there who replaced theirs and know what I need? If so, thank you thank you thank you !

Hi there , I am in process of plumbing my cooling system and was looking around lots of posts and seem to recall the hoses came off of an 2012 f-150 for plumbing the upper hose. It is the one that came with my kit for 2nd gen coyote.

can you measure the OD of the fittings and order some online? I got some silicone tubes/elbows from pegasus racing and they look/work great.

Don’t feel bad, they probably have so many unanswered calls and emails, they’ve just given up. I wonder how quickly they answer sales calls?
A friend and I bought an unbuilt Gen2 coupe a year ago. We’re lucky because we both have a lot of experience with cars and motorcycles and can think outside the box (or boxes as it may be). The FF5 method of assembly is aimed at the beginner and allows him/her/it to do it their way.
To address the cooling system hoses- my partner didn’t like the SS flex hose and took a piece of aluminum tubing that had been part of a steering column. We mocked up where we wanted everything to go, went to the supply house and bought an assortment of radiator hose and plumbed it to fit. Don’t be afraid to reinvent the cooling system the way it works best for you- that seems to be the way a lot of us have built the car. We’ve cut brackets off that FF5 welded on incorrectly, we’ve received parts that don’t come close to fitting like the gas struts for the rear hatch. I ended up buying ours on amazon for $16 and got them the same day!
I have a feeling that FF5 has seen some attrition as a result of the recent health dilemma. I’ve sent a couple of emails that have been answered with “we don’t have that part anymore” or “we can’t help you with that!” We’ve enjoyed putting ours together and have been lucky in having some of the forum members posting great photos and write ups on their builds. Good luck with yours and keep smiling.

Hi there , I am in process of plumbing my cooling and was looking around lots of posts and seem to recall the hoses came off of an f-150. I am sorry that I do not remember the year, but it has to be in the 2nd gen time frame. Sorry this is not more precise. I will keep a lookout if I see what they were from for the 2nd gen coyote. Some vendors show pics and this might at least get you in the ballpark to compare what you have to the F-150 offerings.

To follow up, I think a lot of our cooling hoses were for late model mustangs.

Thanks for the picture John but it didn't pull up but garden hoses on an internet search. I'll likely go with the Pegasus Racing option
Factory 5 did call me this morning but for the life of me he did not understand even though HE thought he did. Kept going around in circles and giving me a Gates part #23577 which is for the current gen fill cap. Every time I tried to make him understand I needed to know what went between the radiator and the SS hoses he kept going back to the part # above......oh well.

One last thought- we cut the lower radiator outlet off and re-welded it to change the direction back to the engine.

One more last thought on the lower radiator hose for a 1st or 2nd gen Daytona: use an upper radiator hose from a Ford F350 with a 7.3 diesel engine. Believe it or not, if you use this hose, cut it in one place, and add a splice there, you have a hose that EXACTLY fits from the radiator to the water pump on a Windsor engine (289, 302, or 351). I posted pics on ffcars years ago, look at the 2nd post in this thread: https://www.ffcars.com/threads/what-do-you-suggest-for-lower-rad-hose-on-the-coupe.311985/
