Hi all,

I’m planning a Coyote based roadster build with Gasn pipes. Looking for some guidance regarding headers; do I need to purchase the Gasn headers or do the FFR supplied headers work with the Gasn pipes? Merits of one vs the other? The Gasn polished headers sure look beautiful…

Thanks for your thoughts and apologies if this is covered elsewhere but didn’t see anything in my searches…

Go Gas-N for both. The quality is good and there's less opportunity for finger pointing.

I used the headers from FFR and the GasN side pipes. I did need the wedges to get the pipes to align, but no big effort or expense there.

BTW, don’t count on that header “beauty” long term. They will discolor fairly quickly to a copperish color; however, they do not get surface rust in my experience.

I used the gasn' headers and pipes. I had to use a wedge spacer on one side and a 1/4" spacer on other. Mine was a rigid setup and gasn' has gone to the ball flange design that allows for adjustment.

The other consideration is, are they even available? I had heard that stainless headers and side pipes had long lead times.

Thanks everyone…I will likely go with the Gasn for both

I have yet to see a Gasn set of pipes fit correctly. They look good and sound good, but you'll need to buy wedges and spacers to make them fit. It's a shame he won't change the jig to correct the angle on the flange. There are three sets in our club, every single one had problems getting them on the car straight.

AS GTBradley pointed out, Gas-N's headers now have ball flanges. That makes the adjustment possible without the wedge gaskets.

I called Gas-n the other day. they are back-ordered 4-6 weeks...

Whatever you do, get the ball flange headers as they make life much easier to get the sidepipes aligned. My only complaint on the FFR Coyote headers is the holes in the flange don't line up perfectly with the head bolt holes so they need to be massaged to bolt up. I was really surprised by this, so do yourself a favor either way and mock up prior to engine drop. Almost impossible to rectify after. My $.02.
