Thought I would say hi. Hi!
Have recently pressed "Go" on a Type 3 '65 Coupe. Expecting the kit in about 6 weeks, mas o menos.
Things are starting to move, if you will. 347 SBF from Factory Five Engines arrived 2 days ago. Garage is ship shape and tools dialed in.
Chomping at the bit. Sorry, lots of horsey metaphors.

Welcome to the forum. I appreciate that nice small block Ford. I just installed my coyote in mine yesterday. It was a very tight fit. A small block would have equal grunt without much of the cost and tight clearances. I installed my trans and motor separately because I could not get enough tilt to it…lots of I should not have installed that yet…and if I did it again I woulds… welcome again and check back and post pics of the build. This forum is on on Factory Five’s best resources. People on here are invaluable resources in this process. Take care. T.poe150779150780

congrats on the coupe!
I like the old school looking engines better then the Coyote under the hood. But it is a nice motor right out of the gate though.

All of my American muscle cars were pushrod, which led me down this path. The Coyote is a nice bit of engineering though! I was (and maybe still am) considering an 8-stack intake (one of James Inglese's F.I. builds) Talking about old school good looks :-) I'll defer that thought for a bit, and bring it up with the Sniper F.I. that is standard with the Blueprint build. Plenty of things to keep me busy for a bit.

Hi all I’m in the process of ordering the 65 coupe and am wondering what kind of wait time is there currently for the project to arrive. I heard in the past the wait was around four months. Just curious to see what it is now. Thanks

Several have commented here and on Facebook that production dates are now in 2022. More like six months leadtime. Even then you will have backorder issues with certain parts for reasons affecting nearly all industries. Factory Five will take care of you. Just be aware going in.

I ordered on 3/19/2021. Build / packaging is scheduled for 8/7. Delivery by Stewart is estimated 10-20 days later. So, 5 months 'ish. And I understand there may be some back-order items - spindles and wheels at the moment being the bits that are rolling chassis blockers, but I am guessing this is a pretty dynamic situation, and it sounds like the FFR crew is burning a bit of that midnight oil to fill their pipeline.
Patience comes to those who wait .... :-)

Thank you for the info on expected date of delivery. I just sent in my request and deposit today so I assume I will get a confirmation on Monday possibly. So five to six months should be right around the new year. Now i just have get all my ducks in a row like engine transmission and rolling stock. Wish me luck and I will keep an eye on the progress on the posted projects. PS sorry I didn’t mean to change the theme of the thread.
