I’ve been sold on the idea of owning/building a Cobra since I was in high school (which was many years ago) and have been aware of the FFR kit cars for the last 15 years or so. I grew up with a dad who was always working on cars, trucks and farm equipment so I was fortunate to get my hands dirty at an early age. I don’t consider myself a motor head but I have played and worked on cars and motorcycles for most of the last 20 years and I have a group of guys that work on and build/restore vintage cars called “the rat pack” for support. I also have a friend who is a professional welder and race car builder. I even tried my hand at building a reverse trike from scratch. I’m a tool designer for a major hvac company so I was able to design in cad (3D of course) and fabricate several of the components and main frame which was fun for me. Seeing it come to life was a challenge and often frustrating but I did learn a lot about building a car. I attached a few pics in case you were curious. I recently sold it so now I’m ready to pursue my dream car. I look forward to learning as much as I can from all of you and can’t wait to take my dad to the Iola Old Car Show and swap meet in Iola Wisconsin in my 1965 Cobra Roadster in the next couple of years! Cheers!
