So my oldest is 10yo and has been sort of having a hard time with heading off to summer camp and leaving mom and dad ( amazingly her little sister who is 8 yo is full speed ahead ) but really wants to do camp. So she seemed a little down. So dad and her decided to drive up and down the driveway. My driveway is almost ½ mile long in the country. She had a ton of fun and was squealing and laughing. Moments like this is more than worth the price of admission. Then she said " Daddy I love the smell of the cobra reminds me of your Landcruiser....." I said yea that is exhaust and gasoline. She said " I know.... I just love it." My daughter is just awesome :) Pics for your time...

My 8 yo who just loves the cobra and was jealous her big sister got a ride down the driveway.

Good for you! I have three girls: 5, 3, 1. I'm a year away from pulling the trigger, and the oldest is all on board. She wants to paint it pink and purple though, so there may be some difficult discussions down the road.

Life is good. see above.

Good stuff.

Thats awesome. Enjoy those days, it goes fast. My 26 year old son came home over the holiday so he took it for a short ride. He loved it.

Unfortunately, it also goes the other way in life. My best friend and one who has helped me with my build anytime I asked, even drove his truck to tow a trailer the 1 1/2 hour to Henry’s while battling cancer, is stating hospice today. Probably won’t make the week. He never got to ride and that is crushing for me. Including just this week, every time I talk to him he asks how the car is going. Live life like there is no tomorrow and loves the ones near you.

HAHA!!! Yea. If my girls had their way my roadster would be quite interesting in the paint department.

No sire it really can't. I am so lucky in so many ways. TBH Dad is a bit sad too that they are going to be gone to camp.

You nailed it mburger.. I was telling my oldest that she is going to learn to drive the land cruiser first ( manual and built like a tank so she is not going to tear anything up).

Back in 1999 my then 14 year old son learned to drive in my first cobra. Figured id he could handle that, most any car was possible. Was a great experience for both of us and after all these years he never has been in an accident and is one of the few of his contemporaries who can jump in a standard shift and not be intimidated!

You are one courageous man!!! Talk about being thrown into the deep end when you are learning to drive LOL! Sounds like it worked out perfectly :) I still think I will be using the Cruiser with my girls though.
