Has anyone else insulated the frame side (foil faced foam, aluminum tape, covered by galvanized sheet ) to prevent fumes, sound, and moister from entering the cab under the doors ?150478150479150480

I insulated everything I possibly could. Used two layers of hush mat on entire inside of cab plus foam and felt on ceiling. Put hush mat inside doors and cut foam board for sides and covered all the side foam as well. It was quiet enough for conversation while cruising, and was cool on the hot days. Was well worth the time and money in my opinion. I also moved my mufflers out behind cab which made a huge difference. Of course if your banging gears at 6000RPM its a hot rod :)

Doesn't hurt anything. But that area under the doors isn't open to the cab once all the aluminum is installed.
The added insulation bnelson shows is interesting. May look into that. I'm at the stage where I could add it.
