Cool, looks like they added a rear spoiler (more like major modification) to Jim's No. 4 , 818 mock-up car.

Is a special presentation of the 818 planned, or are the chassis and the model displayed with the full-sized cars? I am curious about the level of interest.

For the peeps going:

Can someone get a few good shots on the red Mk4 engine? Very curious to see the intake routing and layout with headers. Thanks.

Hi Mad Dog.

Will there be any SEMA Interviews / Videos from Dave this year? Last year, he went around to the various Factory Five car owners and did short blurbs on the owners and their cars. I thought that was a cool way for the rest of us to see the cars and "get to know" other people who share our passion for the Factory Five lifestyle.

Thanks.

Hey Stig,

I think with the ever growing popularity of the existing models and the announcement of the new 818, Dave was slammed the first two days. I was able to get him aside for a bit but he was off to the next thing immediately. He did drop by the FFR dinner last night and had some very motivational words about the current state of the company and the acquisition in full from his brother. He also spoke of the importance of this forum for growing and helping the community more and more. I did hear him speak of doing some video stuff, but I'm not sure if that's what you're asking about. I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Hi Stig,

Jason sent a message the other day saying Dave Smith has gone around talking with people and getting it on film (well technically it went directly to a hard drive and no film was involved, but video was still captured). We'll be getting videos up soon, but I imagine sometime next week as the FFR crew has been super busy at the show. Stay tuned though; interviews are coming!

Forgot to mention that I am working on a video this morning from before the truck was loaded for SEMA. The video features a bunch of the Hot Rods that are on display this week. That should be posted this afternoon and we'll have videos from SEMA coming as well.

Another great time to be had at SEMA! It's always terrific seeing the ffr crew, the booth like normal was very busy with lots of people stopping by to check things out. As the above pics show the company was well repesented all over the show, and I heard lots of good comments from the spectators.

It's just fun hooking up with friends from all over the country at thia event.

The crew is back in Wareham this morning and shared some great stories with us this morning. We'll be getting a full recap post with more photos and some videos. The cameras are on the big rig and Scott, a.k.a Honey Badger, is scheduled to be here on Wednesday. For now, here is a photo of the 2011 FFR SEMA crew.

Man. who's the "knock out" kneeing down in the center of the front row? Jim Schenk must be the one taking the photo.
