I saw an interesting video on that I think it may actually have been Jay Lenos Garage. Its a cool car and story, I think at the time the owner valued it at ~$4M so will see as its going up for auction soon. I still prefer the classic lines of our cars mixed with the modern bits like Coyote, IRS etc. But when you have to add in all the safety features required today its no longer a sub 3000lb vehicle and the power to weight ratio gets destroyed.

I was thinking more along the lines of a FFR interpretation of that body style that fits over their existing frame design.

They could lose a ton of money doing that :p

There's probably a good reason this didn't go into production. Looks like a boxier audi TT

The only place I've seen and heard of that car is in the video game Gran Turismo

There were kits sold in Australia:

Although not for me, I really admire the effort of an Australian company having a good crack at something different.

Apparently approximately 40 were sold.

A classic example of making a small fortune in the kit car industry - by starting with a large fortune.

Like when Ford brought back Thunderbird that didn't sell well because it looked like a Convertible Soap Bubble?
I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but that car has a face that only a mother could love.
Maybe Factory Five Racing could build it and call it the Two Seater Taurus?
I think the Shelby Series-1 was a better-looking car by comparison.

PS:..Please understand that my Southern Sarcasm is in play should my comments offend anyone.
.......I hold this truth to be self-evident as I expect at least one person to be upset.

Neither did the Factory-5 Spyder Daytona which I still love.
