I am starting to fit the doors. I know there’s a ton of information and I think I’ve read most of it. Just as a point of reference. Can I assume that the body lines on the door align with the body lines on the body. So that must give me a point of reference for trimming the top and the bottom of the door. These doors have not been touched yet.

Yes, they should line up.

Yes they should line up perfect with the body lines after that then worry about your gaps. it takes some tinkering and tweaking, twisting . Don’t be afraid to loosen the carriage bolts on the crash beam and the latch bolts all at once then twist and hold the door then retighten everything . Rob

So the drivers door is fitted!!!!! I am still waiting for the other shoe to fall. Here is how I have done it so far. I fitted the tee brackets on the body. Then I made up the 3/16” spacer for the door to sit on. Then I trimmed the top and bottom to get the belt lines to line up. Then I cut and sanded the sides and corners to fit the door into place. At this point in most places I have no gap. When I got to the point that the door just fit and the belt lines matched I taped the door in place and am moving on to the other door. All 4 corners of the door fit perfectly no twist whatsoever. So now when I cut the hinge openings and add the hardware inside should the door stay as perfect as it is now?
