Lower control arms spacer issue

I have an issue with the spacers on the lower control arms. The passenger side went smoothly, I put a spacer in on each grease fitting and bolted it in. However, on the drivers side, there is no room for a spacer in the front grease fitting and in the rear I can get 1 spacer in but there is still a gap and a 2nd spacer doesn't fit in that gap. Also, one more thing. For the ballpoint joint on the upper control arm, what is the pin that comes with the grease fitting used for? Where does it go?

Do you mean the cotter pin?

Two things on the spacers:
1. They are only needed if there is a gap (slop) between the arm pivot and the tabs.
2. Sometimes the tabs need to be spread open a bit if they are closer together at the top than the bottom.

The cotter pin, assuming that's the pin you're describing, is used to keep the castelated nuts on the ball joints and tie rod ends from coming loose.

Basically, use spacers if needed. I had most that required a spacer on both sides of the bushing, but one only got one spacer. I don't think it matters which side the spacer goes on in this situation.
