MK 3.1 power steering

OK I bought this kit in 2007 and after countless deployments, retiring and new career I am working on my car. I am working on the steering and I kept the 89 power steering out of my donor car. I put the spacers in ( that FFR provided)and after mocking everything it seems like the toe is out with tie rods all the way in. I used a SN95 spindal to convert the front to 5 lug. the rear is an IRS using Mark 8 rear end. Do I need to change tie rods to 95 model? shorten rods? not sure but it doesn't look right.

You'll need to shorten the tie rods. Take about 3/4" off each side

X2 to this... I remember shortening my Tie Rods too, but I thought I only took off 1/2 inch from both sides. Just make sure you will have a good amount of thread engagement left (about 1/2 inch) before cutting.
