Sooooooooo, as some of you know I just spent the past week rigging the contest so the west coast team would win. However!, Dave and the
westies thought that in the interest of fair play and the simple fact that we could beat you like a "red headed stepchild any day of the week and twice on Sunday" (no offense Dave....the redhead thing is just a figure of peach) that I share what I learned. Here goes!.... 1. half a block up on the same side of the street is a BBQ place with awesome pulled pork. B. just on the other side of the street is a really (I mean REALLY) good massage place who also has great pulled po....."nuf said" 4. You can hear the gunshots, but are far enough away at the hotel not to have to sleep in body armor. 5. Everyone there treated me very well making sure I had food and drink and whatever supplies I required to do my task. D. They asigned a helper named Ruben . E. Ruben is 57 and had his gall blader removed seven weeks ago. He was an ace helper and picked things up quickly. (he is feeling much better these days thank you).....oh! this is a biggie...13. They have ten to twelve hospitality girls dressed in Hip Boots, Daisy Dukes and Car Warriors Pit shirts tied just above their bellybutton (MMM!) They are the ones who make sure you have food and drink. 14. Next door is a porn studio and the girls like to come over and hang out in the breakroom.........damn, I was dream typing out loud (you can tell by when the numbering got screwed up). NOW! the good stuff. 1. I spent time with the producer (he likes to talk cars) . He made sure people jumped when I snapped my fingers (tried it once "really cool"). 2. They want good builds and people who are happy to be part of the process. 3. They are not looking for drama this season, they want great builds. Drama will happen on it's own, obviously. 4. I did my best on both cars, one is a little better and will go to the East Coast team. 5. When we get together before the show I will share whatever little things I know about our cars that will help. .......NOW UNDERSTAND THIS!!!!!!! for twelve years this has been my community. All my eggs are in the FFR basket. When a forum member asks "Who should I take my car to for paint?" and the So Cal guys recommend me it's a great thing. HOWEVER, when someone from the east coast or anyplace in between puts my name up IT'S A HUGE ENDORSEMENT!!! I PROMISE YOU I HAVE NOT, AND WILL NOT put my livelyhood or integrity at risk for a contest. 6. This will be a great show, we can do this and do it well ,while having fun and poking fun at each other..... Your Brother in a shared passion...da Bat
