We had a few brave souls meet up for a drive today in spite of the weather forecast - possible afternoon thunderstorms. Here are a few pictures of this beautiful drive...

Lunch was at the Silver West Feedstore. Fantastic food!

Sorry We missed it. Well, not the rain part. But the rest of it looked good.

Bob,

It was a fun day with plenty of twisty canyons and some stunning views. The rain was miserable -- ain't gonna lie, but we made it through and I have that "when, not if" item checked off my list now.

Big lungs, Steve. It's a real thing ...

"When living at high altitude for a certain period of time, the human body acclimatizes by increasing pulmonary perfusion and lung capacity, increasing the oxygen-binding capacity of blood and peripheral tissues, and increasing the amount of red blood cells in order to endure the low atmospheric pressure and low partial pressure of oxygen."

Looks like a beautiful drive you guys sure have some awesome country up at the mile high club... I dread the day I get caught in the rain... no wipers on my ride:D

Funny thing is we were delayed 4 hours on our flight yesterday afternoon out of Denver because of T-storms... must have been the same storm you were driving in!

Here is a short (low quality) video my wife took on her cell phone of a nice little twisty section:

Edit: Ran it through some stabilization processing. It's still shaky, but a bit better.
