Anyone in New Mexico?

I have questions regarding the ability to title and register a roadster in New Mexico. I cant seem to get a straight answer. Help!

I am still in the dreaming stage but have looked at all the paperwork. Someone has done it because there was a roadster for sale out of corrales 6 months to a year ago and I saw one on the road last month in Rio. Not sure if it was the same one. It cannot be registered as a 65 it will be registered as the year it was completed. Minimum equipment list is straight forward and reasonable. My main question is what emissions equipment will be required. Equipment list States any post 1968 engine must have the emissions it was designed with. Does that mean a coyote is going to need cats and egr and whatever else it has? And I don’t know if the yearly smog checks will also be required. Looking forward to discussing it with you all.
