Just wanted you guys to know that forum member Bill K., forum handle Gopher, was in surgery last night for a serious infection related to his cancer therapy. He survived the surgery and the night and is in an induced coma.

Bill is a friend of mine and is building an anniversary car. His wife Dawn gave me the update last night and I just wanted to let you guys know.

Bill you get better!!! I want to get a picture of you in the 10th Mountain shirt I sent you and we still need to go to dinner with the wifes. You have become a good friend, we seem to have some kind of bond and I really appreciate all the help you have given me and the clutch parts. You are true blue and I look forward to compare builds and meet up on the road in the future. Email me your phone number when you are feeling better and we well talk. Take care and our prayers are with you Brother.

Hello I'm Dawn Bills wife when a friend showed me this post I was shocked and want to say thank you all. For a update they have the infection under control and removed the source of it .He woke up after surgery the doctor did a quick nerolagical assessment then re induced the coma. The problems are his temp hit 106.5 he coded on the table. No doctor is saying much about is condition other than its watch and wait. There may be some brain damage due to the high fever. The plan is to let him wake today and assess him again .As of noon today he is breathing on his own his temp is down to 100 and he's stabil in ICU. Dawn PS Dave Thank You so much.

Dawn....Please know that there are countless folks out here praying for Bill's recovery, and for you and your family as you travel this road. Thanks for the update on Bill's condition....The drop in fever is a good sign, and we will all continue to pray for you, Bill, and the medical team caring for him.....While we cannot be there to visit with him, or comfort you during the seemingly endless hours of watching and waiting, please know we are all there with you, and our best wishes are sent in hopes of easing the burden and lifting you in this difficult time. Hugs and love.....Karen

Hello folk I just want to say thank you for your well wishes .I'm going to have a long recovery but it started already I got bathroom privaliges this afternoon .I have some speech problems and a weakness on my left side.the plan is to move me to a rehab hospital by the weekend if things don't change by then. The prognosess is good for a complete recovery but only time will tell. The rehab nurse is making me type this my self as part of my rehab today .While it may not seem like much of a task this took me two hours to do .So again thank you all Bill
