I swapped the BP-10 Wilwood pads that came with the 20th Anniversary roadster, 6 piston calipers, for Hawk DTC-30s. After all the prep and bedding, the pads are an improvement on stopping with less pedal effort, my objective.
Normal stops, everything is smooth and quiet. On any stops close to aggressive, the front brakes groan. I verified this more than once. Back to the normal stops, everything is quiet and smooth.
Any first hand experience with this pads, calipers and rotors, normal or need attention?
thanks,

Got a reply from Hawk on the issue, normal for a track pad.
I did reply that a street compound was not available on the plate #6617.
I do not expect a reply on that, but we will see.
thanks,

Hawk has a HPS compound for 6617 plate, but it is too thick .670, need .490.
Passed this along to Hawk. ,,,,will see what is next.

Rather than go down the long trail, short answer is, Hawk's most street friendly pad for the 6 piston
Wilwood, 6712 plate is HB645 DTC 30.
I posted 6617 plate number incorrectly.

Mitch/Hawk was very quick to reply and answer my questions.
