I have mounted my new Moser 8.8 rear end using the FFR 4 link setup, making sure the the correct shocks and springs were used on the rear, but the springs appear to be too short. Can someone explain why this is? The chassis is on blocks and I have a block under the rear end to prevent the shocks from taking all the weight but the springs are slack, they do not touch the top of the shock assembly even with the adjustment collar screwed all the way up. It appears as though a strap is needed to limit the travel of the rear end but i dont see where one is called out. I am not overly concerned, once the car is on wheels/tires and has the full weight on the ground this would go away but it just doesnt look right. Am I missing something obvious or is this the way it should be?

I'm running full fenders / running boards so my slack in the shock until it meets the spring was taken up having to have the ride height much higher than folks not running the full fenders / running boards. The adjustment collar on my shocks is right up against the springs.
That's with the tires off the ground lifting by the frame

Not entirely helpful because I have a 3 link, but here's an old pic that shows my adjusters about 2/3 up with suspension on full droop. No idea if 4 link droops more than a 3 link, or if supplied shock/spring is the same. Sorry not much help! FWIW Most people tie-wrap the springs to the top hat (front and rear) to keep them in place.

Thanks Jim,
I failed to mention I am not running fenders, plan to add bicycle fenders down the road. I do appreciate the comments.

Thank James,
I did see where tie-wrap was suggested. Ill go that route and see how everything works out in the end. Looks like I am going with a similar build as yourself-fenderless, hardtop, 383SBC, TKX, hardtop. Thanks for the comments.
