Hi guys,

Can’t seem to find the body cart dimensions/plans. Anybody have them handy? Thanks!

Excellent. That's what I was looking for. Mainly the cart to take delivery and wheel the thing from the truck up the driveway to the shop.

Stewart delivery? If so, and you don't have an unusual situation, they have a cart and will deliver it into your garage and help you put it on jack stands or whatever.

Oh, ok. Yes, I’ll be using them. Didn’t realize that. Thanks!

If you have enough space in your garage/shop then save your time and money and listen to Paul (Edwardb) and have Stewart help you put it where you want it. If you're like me and space is at a premium (building in a 12.5x22 one car garage) the frame dolly is a necessity.

If it helps this video does a really good job explaining what they do.

Great, that’s perfect! Thank you for that post and pic. I have a large separate shop where I’ll be building the kit along side another car I’m building so I’ll plan on making the cart so I can move the chassis around where needed. I just needed the dimensions so I can weld up and frame.

Thanks guys!

I took the basic dimensions from a plan I found by doing a google search for "FFR roadster frame dolly" and modified to accommodate building with 2" steel tubing. I built it to break down into 5 pieces - center, 2 ends, and 2 verticle angle supports. Bolts together and comes apart for easier storage when not in use. I lined the saddles with 1/2" eva foam and covered with carpet to protect the frame. I had the steel leftover from another project....so rather than paying the inflated cost of lumber right now I built with what I had....just ordered the castors on Amazon and HD for the hardware - cost not including steel was about $60.148609148610

Now that’s classic…..that’s exactly what I had planned on building with the scrap steel I have laying around too! Well done!

This dolly looks great, it's simple and looks like a no-brainer.
