I assembled and installed my upper control arms on the Coupe today. After greasing the fittings I torqued the upper A-arm pivot bolts to 54 foot lbs. The action on the upper control arm after torquing the bolts is very, very stiff, is this normal? I've included pics of the installation. Thanks

You're talking about the locknuts on the ends of the pivot shaft? Where are you getting 54 ft/lbs? My Coupe manual doesn't give a torque rating. It says to adjust them until they're tight and the arm should drop slowly under it's own weight.

Oh darn, I understand now. There was a table at the end of the front suspension section with all the torque specs and I was interpreting the A-arm pivot bolts to be those end bolts. I saw the paragraph about it dropping under its own weight and it wasn’t adding up. What a dumb mistake! Thanks Paul.
