I am confused. I am fitting the dash. When the dash flange is tight up against the body there is a 3/4” gap between the dash and the window. This can’t be right.

Mine was the same way . I added a straight slip on bulb seal from McMaster and Carr that I ordered to fill the void . Rob

With some trimming and adjusting you can get those flanges tighter than that. You're saying tight but I see 1/4" or so there. Mine fits with less than 1/2" gap, which bulb seal will fill OK. But took some work to get it there. Mainly on the back side of the dash and the inside of the body where it fits. 3/4" is a bit much IMO.

Yes I agree 3/4 is a bit to much . I used a 3/8 bulb seal 148459

This forum is great. Thanks for the advice guys. If you work at it long enough and have patients and just take SMALL cuts. You can get it pretty darn close.

What do you think? Should the dash be about 1/4 to 1/2” lower than the glass?

I have mine set just below the window opening maybe 1/4” that way when I installed the bulb seal it ended up just about flush with the front windshield. Rob
