I was at VIR (Virginia International Raceway) on the weekend of the 15-16. It was the first event with the car painted. Still no stripes yet, they'll go on after I get the VIN. The car still isn't finished but I got enough of it together to have fun. The picture was taken at Oak Tree at the end of the session which is why the checker is out.

It handles very well. This is the third time at VIR, first with paint. I was expecting more fine tuning but I can't think of anything I'd change at this point. I aligned it my garage and set the sway bars at what I though would work and it's been great.

Great photo! The coupe is in its element on a track. By the way, what is the color on the car?

Thanks for the comments. I have a larger version of the photo I'll submit for POM. The car really isn't finished so I hadn't considered it.

Sorry Karen no in car video. I had my camera with me but I was busy all weekend and never got the mount bolted in. Here's a short You Tube video my brother took of the car between 3-4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbhjxlB_ox4&feature=youtu.be The other car is a new Mustang Boss LS. You'll probably also notice I put the number on crooked on the passenger side. It was pretty windy in the morning and was lucky to get it on at all. It's temp adhesive material so it comes off easily.

The color is Guardsman Blue. It's a color I originally hadn't considered because the cars I had seen were a lighter shade than this. The guys who painted this had a Dupont book from '64 and when I saw the chip I knew it was the color I wanted.

Great picture! I was there not too long ago and have one of my Camaro in the same spot. What kind of lap times? Any idea? What about speeds down the back stretch? My 380 rwhp Camaro was hitting 130 if I stayed in it.

I hope to someday build a coupe. For now I'm going to have to build the 818 because of the cost (not that it's a bad thing).

Anyway, great picture and video. I have a tough time with 4. Looks like you turned in a little early. You know what they say, if it feels like to were too slow through 4, then it was just right :)

That video isn't too bad! I'm actually really digging the car without the stripes by the way... :)

Love the color! As you say, all the Guardsman Blue examples I have seen have been a bit lighter than yours. No stripes does look good.

Thanks, no lap times I am one of the organizers of the event and the insurance company frowns on timing cars. I realize people probably do it but I can't. I'm down about 100 hp to your car but if I calculate my speed by the RPM I'm doing about 125-130 at the top of the hill. I'm on the brakes early because I'm running the wrong brake pads and it can get a little too exciting if I brake too deep.
