FFR MK4 Moser rear end brake caliper bracket

Hello,
Working on the Moser Rear End which I got from FFR. I saw in the Rear End Assembly video that Dan From FFR removed the axle from the rear end, in order to be able to put on the brake caliper brackets. I could not find this section in the manual however. Is this a step that needs to be done?

the newer brackets (as of Jan 2019 complete kit) are "C" shaped and can go on without removal of the axles.

Also, one last thing, for the rear axle as well, the video showed putting anti sieize on the threads of the upper link bar (3 link suspension) but the manual did not show this, is something that should be done?

yes, antiseize on the upper and lower 3 link threads make it easier to adjust later.
