Is there a trick for tightening the jam nuts in the top windshield channel using the dark water customs rear view mirror mount? I put the jam nuts in the channel, then the bracket, but the screws just turn. Nothing is holding the jam nuts.

I made my own bracket, but similar idea. I was able to loosely thread the nuts onto the screws and slide them into the channel, then fully tighten the screws once the nuts were secure in the channel.

BTW, when did you order your piece from DWC? I ordered a bracket and trunk block off plate in Jan. I finally made my own bracket and canceled my bracket order in April after waiting 2 months, but am still waiting on my block off plate.

Use square 6-32 nuts in the top channel. They can be inserted in the wide gap in the center of the frame.

FWIW, you can also get #8-32 square nuts to work, but you'll need to grind them down a bit. #6-32 is the largest you can get in without modification.
