After finally getting my windshield wipers to function properly, I came out the following morning and found a crack that starts at the outboard end of the passenger side wiper blade and extends up about 4 inches. There seems to be a lot of this, especially MK III kits from 2007. There is another fellow in my town that picked his kit up about a month later than I did and his cracked also. Is there any kind of assistance available for this kind of thing?

Hi Tim,

We had seen some similar cases, but on the LH side. I'll see if it's something that the manufacturer will cover and let you know.

Have you heard anything about this yet Jason?

Mine cracked the same way (750 miles) on both sides up from the bottom. I talked to Patty and she shipped me a warrenty replacement. My kit was received in Dec 08 and was in the group that had the random bad windshields. Jim

The windshield guys we have now are excellent and I'm sure, like everything at FFR this has gotten better and better. There are some variables that can do this (breakage), but Jason will look at it hard and be fair.

If I remember some old stories about windshields... if you screwed in the tiny screws to far on the windwing brackets, they could go into the side of the glass causing a crack... that may be yesterdays news..

Thanks Raceral but I was very very careful about screw length. Also, there are no screws or anything else that I am aware of to start a crack from the bottom.

Jason; Have you heard anything from your supplier yet?
