Hello.
Are there any supporting vendors that sell the cross bar for anchoring the harness?
I really like the one at **********, but I won't go down that road.
I'm open to making my own with the correct parts.
If this is best in WTB please move with my apologies.

I like this solution better, all the other ones seem to have a lot of exposed fasteners or even eye bolts that are dangerous AF in an accident with no helmet.

I saw that. I'm actually on Mark's site now to order new 4 into 4 gaskets. It appears those pipes are for his 1 3/4" roll bar setup that requires welding anyway.
My roll bar is 2" chromed and while there are a couple stories driving my decision not to mess with them again, it's for another time/thread. (or not)
BradCraig, I don't disagree with you and perhaps there is further modifications that can be done to the design.
I appreciate the ideas!

I do think the weld in solution is much better than the bolt on version. If this is for your MK1 make sure it's for the correct diameter of tubing. My MK2 is 2", but I'm pretty sure the newer ones are 1 3/4". I do have a bolt on version (if I can remember where it is) that I never put on if you decide you want to go that route.

Rdone585, should you find yours, I would be interested in purchasing it. Once I have it, I’ll decide if I’m going to install it, but I think I would like it.
Feel free to PM me. Thanks!
I could be wrong but I think the Mk4 has 1 1/2” bars.
One of the things that folks like about Mark’s roll bar is that it is 1 3/4”.
The 2” look too fat, the 1 1/2” look too thin, then there’s Marks. (There’s also the angle and height)

I have also seen those eye bolt versions and they scared me for sure. My feeling is that there isn't enough room in an FFR for eye bolts and the metal pieces in the end of the harness to attach to them. I much prefer the wrap around the horizontal bar style as shown at the bottom of page 1 here.

I'm planning to build bolt-in mounts and a horizontal bar behind the full width roll bar of my Challenge Car, it will be a no weld installation for wrap style shoulder belts. I'm not a fan of the current location low and behind the seats.
If I was running a normal roadster style single hoop the weld in tube would be my preference. Cutting a 1" tube and welding it in wouldn't be difficult but the chrome or other coating would need to be replaced.
I'll follow Craig, the eye-bolt style bars scare me as well.
