Coupe radiator install question

I have the radiator tunnel situated and dropped the radiator down into the frame mounts. The instructions indicate the tab on the mounting bracket should be facing rearward, however, in doing so nothing lines up. If rotate the bracket so the raised tab is facing forward that seems to work. Second issue is the feet of the bracket mount are at least 1/4 inch off the 1 x1 frame rail on each side. There is no interference from the side panel as it is about 3/32 below the top of the frame rail and the bracket is sitting flat on the top of the radiator. I'm thinking that I should put a few flat washers on each side and take of the rest of the gap by tightening down a slightly longer bolt. Does that sound reasonable? This is my first post attempting to insert some thumbnails, hopefully it works!

Yep mine sits the same as yours. I plan on using a spacer to make up the room. Pretty sure that Eric Treves coupe has spacers on it as well. Doug

Had to add spacers on mine too. As I recall, 1/4".
