I am building a coupe, and I’m using the in-tank fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator from Breeze. Mark was great to work with. He recommends attaching the regulator directly to the return on the pump, to avoid additional fittings and another hose. I installed it that way, but I’m worried that when I finish the aluminum in the rear, it won’t work. The hose now sticks outside the frame because of how the fuel pump outputs are angled. They can’t be turned any other direction in the tank. If this setup doesn’t work, I will move the regulator and insert a flex line for the return. I can’t tell how the aluminum pieces in the rear fit, so not sure if I will have issues down the road or not. Thanks for any help. Including a few other pics of current status just for fun. Thanks!!

I personally wouldn't leave it like that. It's hard to tell exactly from your pictures (based on angles) but pretty sure the rear splash guard will interfere with that. Also can't tell -- do you have the regulator mounted to the frame or is just hanging off the return line? I wouldn't want the regulator hanging on the hard line going into the fuel pump hangar. If it's attached to the frame, it's going to be difficult to reach in there and disconnect if you ever need to drop the tank. I'd add a flex line and mount it in a more accessible and non-intrusive location.

Nice work. Other pics are looking good.

Thanks for the quick answer, and I suspected this is what I’ll have to do. Better to do it now before i finish the fuel line and start the engine. It was odd that Breeze was so confident in this install method.... anyway, i just got the Ford control pack yesterday, so now I am getting closer to being able to start this thing up!!
