hey just want to see what other guys are seeing on water temps while driving. my car gen 3 with 347 small block with 180 thermstat on 92 degree day wants to run 195 to 200 with a/c on
if i turn ac off it will stay around 188-192. i am running shroud on radiator also the under hood temp seems way hot didnt know if anybody has done anything to bring under hood temps down
thanks

Definitely not an expert on the 347 Small Block (I'm running a Coyote), but that doesn't seem that hot to me. Isn't the 180 degree thermostat designed to block coolant until it reaches 180? A 15 to 20 degree increase beyond that on a hot day with A/C seems totally reasonable to me. But I could be wrong.

Looks ok to me.
I'm not driving my Coupe yet but looks like what I read about in the data I reviewed while building my car.
I have a 347 f.i. from BluePrint.
Will be able to report back with personnal experience much later this summer...if they can start working on my car at the body shop...but that's another story...
That's where my water temp is on my 347, no A/C, when in stop and go traffic.

jwhit,
On my coupe:
1) If ambient temp is 60-70, can run 70-80- mph, temp of coolant is 180-190.
2) if ambient temp is 85 and +, can run 70-80 , temp of coolant is 190-200.
3) if ambient temp is 85 and +, can run stop and go, temp of coolant is 195-210.
4) if ambient temp is 85 and +, can run stop and go with AC ON, temp of coolant is 205-232.
5) if ambient temp is 85 and +, can run 70 with AC ON, temp of coolant is 195-205.
I have radiator shroud.
I changed serpentine systems to March Serpentine system for better wrap. I feel it is a little better on the cooling of the engine, but I have no data
