Hi all,
Hope everyone is well and working on and driving their cars!
I'm just curious which is "better", "easier"? Lizzard Skin or some sort of butyl backed aluminum foil. Is Lizzard Skin messy? Is mat difficult? Looks like the cost will be about the same.
I'm getting ready to proceed on you guys best advice.
Thank you,
Jeff

Jeff,

I use Second Skin Audio Damplifier Pro on all my builds. Easy to apply and great sound and heat absorption.

Koolmat from Breeze is working well for me and is precut so all you need to do is spray glue and trim.

Happy with X-Mat so far. Easy to apply, easy to cut to size, and it adheres well - just peel and stick. Definitely takes the "ping" in the sheet metal and makes it more of a dull "thud" with respect to sound reduction. There is a lightweight version as well for applying to ceilings like the top of the transmission tunnel.
