New guy here , Bob Shaw is my name . I've followed FF5 for twenty years or so , and have had plans to buy a kit twice , but life got in the way . I've always been a car guy , built a couple ground up projects , drag race cars , and my Fox body went 11.92 on street tires .
Raced motorcycles all my life , flat track and ice racing , plus a little bit of hare scrambles .
I'm 99% sure I'm ready to start a new project , been flipping houses down here , but I'm over that , for now .
A couples questions for you guys ,
1 What's the insurance like on a Coupe ?
2 How hard is it to title a kit car in FL ?
3 What do you do about theft deterrent ? Can't lock the doors , can you ? I mean like at a restaurant or some thing . Do you just leave it and hope for the best ? Some times I leave a pistol in my vehicle , you know ?
I think I'm going to order the Blueprint package , 347/TKX , and a Daytona IRS kit , and use it mostly as a street cruiser / vanity car .
I've got to say thanks to the forum already , because I've found the answers to most of my questions here before I joined up .
Thanks ahead of time for any replies and or info , you guys rock , there is some very talented people on here !

Hey Smitty. Welcome! More than likely one day that could answer your questions hasn’t seen your post yet and that is 65 Cobra Dude. Henry Renaud. After four years I still feel like the new guy here otherwise I would answer your questions. Hang tight as I’m sure he’ll be popping into the thread at some point.

Try to answer your questions.
1. insurance is not hard. Best thru a collector car company.
2. not hard but currently will be issued a Assembled from parts title .
3.You can install door poppers, but with plexi windows easy to break in car. I would not leave a gun in the car. These are kit cars. Nothing at all like an OEM car.

Hope this helps.
