Car sold for $43,500 thanks to this posting and Facebook’s Cobras for sale

I finished this car last summer and worked out the bugs. This year I realized that I'm not a proper long term caretaker for a Cobra. I need an all weather Roadster and I am itching for a Porsche. I'm posting here first to gauge interest before I determine if I want to post on BAT. This car is a 2007 MK3 kit built with all new components. It is raining here so outside pictures on this post are from last Summer. No real change externally other then grills added to nose vents and a good wax and polish as seen in shop photos. I will supplement with additional posts with more detailed photos and information. I have related options and other details to the current FFR kit options as follows:

Beautiful car! Good luck with your sale!

Over $60k to build now. Professional body fitting and painting alone is $10-15k. Engine is not remanufactured but a new Ford factory long block. Not sure if you can buy them any more. Surprised no other comments with all the views. Is asking price about right.

My comment would be.........wow! That is a beautifully built car. I'm in Canada so can't buy it, but the asking price is very good as well.

No power anything except to rear wheels. Been told about 300 with addition of headers and carb with the GT 40 heads. It does have cone baffles (removable) added to headers to take out some of the bark. No oil cooler and not needed, engine runs very cool. What you see in oil cooler intake is actually a marine blower fan motor to pickup cool air to supply by cool air lines to vents in foot wheels.

This build replicates a 289 Cobra rather than a 427 or the current high powered Coyote engine ones. As is it has way more power than anything I have ever driven. It takes a more skilled driver then me to utilize it all and I used to do Autocross with Porsches and Miatas.

Not interested in an older 911 but if you had a 2012-2016 Boxster S Guards Red, beige interior, Southern one owner low mileage car to trade I’d be all over it. See your PM.

Some more information on this car. The glass cracked for no reason that appears common for the windshield. Windshield was replaced with Optic Armor molded 1/4” coated aircraft quality polycarbonate to eliminate any chance of cracking. (About twice the price of glass) Detailed in cracked windshield postings.

Engine is a new Ford 302 complete long block delivered to a marine power plant company for conversion. It was stored but never converted. Only difference from the engine in the Mustang Cobra is a customer and not Ford serial number on the block. Better than a crate engine, used or rebuild since all new unused parts.

Had some lookers but not meeting my price yet. No hurry since the Porsche I wanted got sold. I am enjoying driving it locally.

Is this car still available? Location? Can you send me some additional photos. Out doors if it's not raining and some engine compartments.

Thanks in advance. Chris

I have had quite a few people inquiring about title. It is titled as a 2020 Cobra Replica in Alabama. Pollution and DOT is not applicable for replicas of a 1965 vehicle in Alabama. They will not permit you to title as a 1965 since you could then get antique plates for a one time fee of $12 rather than pay the yearly registration fee and a couple of hundred dollars of property tax. I’m not sure if has always been that way but that is how it had to be titled in 2020. Glad to provide a copy of the title to take to your DMV for folks interested. Let me stress it will not pass emissions since it has no pollution controls and is built as it would have been in 1965.
