Hey All,

Does anyone have any recent experience (last 12-18 months) registering their FFR in Ontario? The last thread I could find on the subject was 2017.

If you have, what was the process and where did you get your source information from?

Thanks in advance.

Dan

Have you talked with Ryan Valin? He's the first person I'd talk with for Ontario

Good morning Dan,
I just got my Mark IV registered here in Ontario.
You need an affidavit that is notarized (that you are the rightful owner and importer of the various parts etc...) plus proof of insurance and then a leisurely visit to your local Service Ontario. You should attach the certificate of origin you get with your kit, the Transport Canada permission to import letter, and all the purchase orders. If the parts are deemed new, you may get an exemption from a safety test.
The whole process took me a couple of visits and I walked out with my green ownership and a set of plates.
I can send you a blank copy of the affidavit. andy.nureddin@outlook.com

Hi AndyM,

May I ask where you got your insurance? I’m in Ancaster, Ontario. Did you not have to get a safety?

Joe

Thanks. Got my insurance from Zehr. I had to get a safety. The licensing mechanic was mostly concerned with the suspension (pointed out a couple of jam nuts were not tight). I did not have to have a third brake light, day time driving lights, or a heater defrost. I have wipers and a reverse light.
