Does anyone have a photo of how they mounted the moroso coolant tank? I have tried to find alternate places to mount and keep coming back to Pauls location. Paul has the engineering all figured out for the rest of us and we appreciate it. Hopefully Paul can send some close up photos as I am not sure how he mounted it. Thanks in advance!

This post in my build thread has all the pictures I took of the bracket I fabricated and where I mounted it. https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?26630-Edwardb%92s-Gen-3-Type-65-Coyote-Coupe-59-Build-Complete-and-Graduated&p=341133&viewfull=1#post341133. These show it before the tunnel aluminum was mounted. But once that was in place, the bracket permanently mounted. The picture below doesn't add a lot. But was taken after it was permanently installed. In that same post, I described the downside of how this location (only one I could decide would fit) was lower than the inlet at the engine, so it would be necessary to do the initial fill through the heater hose connection. This lead to a number of posts back and forth about whether this would work, would the engine properly cool, etc. After weighing all the evidence, and also talking to my friends at Ford, went with this location. What I can add now after 1+ season of driving and 2,200 miles is the following: Zero cooling issues. Engine and cooling setup work perfectly. No issues there at all. Yes I had to do the initial fill through the heater hose connection. After several heat cycles, the level in the tank did drop as is usually case as air is purged from the system. Added more coolant at the tank per normal procedure. Have checked it numerous times since, added a bit more once or twice and it's stable now. So basically, other than the initial fill, confirmed that location is totally normal in operation and maintenance.

Paul,
This is what I was looking for. I must have missed it in your build thread, sorry. I am copying your setup and appreciate everything you do for the factory five family.
Thanks
Greg

I feel like we are Paul's "build devotees". Marveling at his work, trying to catch up and finding ourselves quite humbled at both his workmanship and his very detailed and clear examples...

I often wonder how many would never get completed without Paul and his build threads!
Factory five should have him on the payroll

Stupid question. What is the threaded cap part number for the tank. I ordered one for a mustang, but I ended up with one that won’t work.

I've used a standard Ford cap DG9Z-8100-A on both builds with the Moroso tank.

Thanks as always Paul. Ffr should give you some kind of consultant fee for all the help you give. ..or maybe a special discount on your next purchase. Very valuable advice.

Add me to the list. I used it religiously for suspension, brake and fuel systems. I often had his build thread up on my garage computer right next to the manual. Ask me how many PMs I’ve sent Paul? Many! Very grateful to him. When I think about his build thread I like to think he wrote the “Cliff’s Notes” on building the Coupe. When I think about my build the only reason I was able to push the design was because Paul handed me the foundation of the car on a silver platter.

Thanks for all the very generous comments guys. Honestly, I'm just a hobbyist like you learning as I go. It's been a lot of fun sharing and watching others also have success. Carry on!

I fabricated one to fit opposite the dry sump breather.
