Sorry wasn't sure which Forum was appropriate for this question. Looking for opinions from builders that have completed both Roadster and Coupe builds. Which build did you find more challenging and why?
Thanks, trying to decide between these 2 is a difficult choice. Always wanted a Roadster but they are starting to look like Teslas they are everywhere. The Coupe obviously is rarer and looks to be more valuable when completed.

Hi,
I didn’t build a roadster by myself but attended the build school where I participated in building one with a group and two pros.
Then I built a Coupe myself. Definitely a Coupe is more of a challenge but there is a lot in common. Where you will find more differences is with the body.
Mecanical and electric parts are very, very similar if you are going the « standard » way like I did.
Just my 2 cents...

Why? Because of body and front sheet metal?

Why? Because of body and front sheet metal?
Bill can give his reasons. But having done both, I agree the Coupe is somewhat more difficult. The basic chassis, suspension, sheet metal, all similar work content. So no real difference there. The dash and cockpit in general is a little more complicated and a little more work. But not bad. Especially if you leave it stock. But many (including me) don't. Coupe's often have more content. Mine was the first time I've ever installed A/C for example. But mainly the difference is the body. Fitting the nose, doors, installing the windshield, all significantly more effort than a Roadster. The budget will typically need to be higher as well. In the end, they're awesome and we love ours. Don't regret any minute I spent building it.

Having built both multiple times, the coupe is definitely more complicated and time consuming when it comes to the body work and fitting panels. Also you have more seams and surface area to finish then in a roadster.
