Congrats cha0s!!! I know how much work into getting it to this point. Great video! Really interesting seeing the differences in a MkII and IV as well.

I hope so because if they are copper a hard panic stop will pull the flares right out of the fitting.

I had no idea there were still unfinished MK2's out there! What's the chassis #? Hoping to guess the year of manufacture.

Hi, I was lucky to find one that was in storage since new. It was in storage in Baja California. I drove from Texas last July with a trailer loaded it up and started assembly. The Chassis number is FFR5274K

My old MKII frame was 4402. She was a great car.

Nice valve covers, where did you get that done?

I picked up a MK 2 in November, been giving it some overdue attention. The next item on my list is to deal with diagonal frame tube to the left of the clutch pedal. Will likely cut it out and weld in a piece that more closely resembles the modern design. The current tube interferes with my left foot and leaves no place for my foot when I'm not shifting. You should look into this before the body goes on. I am not so lucky!

I agree, I did the same thing with my early MK3. Had some heavy wall tube bent and welded in to match the change made on the frames that came out about 6 months later.
