Any Issues mounting up the earlier Mustang COBRA brakes up front?

Looking through the manual, and I know the kit comes with Mustang front brakes.

Is there any issues with mounting up the cobra brakes from 94-04 (I believe they have an almost 13 inch rotor like the 2017 mustang rear brakes.

Just wanted to make sure I can follow the same instructions in the manual???

none at all. I do it all the time. You can get them pretty reasonable on Rock auto

It is a very common upgrade from the regular mustang brakes. I have the cobra ones. Wheel clearance is really the only possible issue.

Thanks Mike. I bought some refurbished ones. I was just reading the manual and was hoping the installation would pretty much be the same...I am sure it is. I am going to be using 18 inch wheels so I am assuming no clearance issues?

I just did the upgrade from the fox body spindles to SN95 hubs. Only issue I had was my brake lines would not long enough to work properly. I took them to a Hose and more place and had them lengthened 9" where upon I made them work even though I had to bend the metal tube by hand in order to clear a few things. My alignment was was off, even though everyone said it wouldn't be, so needed a front end alignment too. What caused the alignment to be off was the fix lower control arm from FF. All said since it was a "Fixed" control arm (not adjustable) no alignment necessary. LOL, boy were they wrong. My camber was off several inches. I had to eye ball it back somewhat in order to be able to drive it to the alignment shop.

No issues so long as you do not plan on 15" wheels. My 15 year anniversary edition Mk4 came with the Mustang Cobra brakes and 13" rotors. I am running the FFR 17" Halibrand replica wheels without issue.

No issues. I have the 17” FFR wheels and 1998 Mustang Cobra calipers.

I have no issue either. I am running 04 Mach 1 brakes. Same caliper as the Cobra just not embossed with the Cobra. They are cheaper then the Cobra calipers.
