initial body fitment questions

I just put on the body for the first time in a year and this is what I came up with. just looking for "yeah that sounds right" or this isn't normal.

It looks like the following panels need to be trimmed
- center of the firewall by about 1/4", it is evident that the dash area sits mostly in the center and a gap is present by about 3/16 on both passenger and driver area.
- center of the rear cockpit panel by about 1/4". same thing on the dash area. in front of the trunk opening it mainly sits on the center with the outs with the same amount of gap
- both left and rear trunk panels by a good amount ~1/2". re

Is this what most people see? feedback and experience please. thanks as always

I see this has gone a couple days with no answerers .....so I do this daily and i'm a little lost. Hmmmm. Don't trim your firewall . Do you have the bulb seal on ? Don't use the dash hoop to set your dash height....if you are using the aluminum dash set it so you can see 3/16 of the square tube on the outer ends (right and left) what happens in the middle doesn't matter. If you are using the padded poly dash you can line it up with the corners of the square tube right and left. Do you have bulb seal across the center of the rear cockpit panel? If so take it off it only goes to the outside of the trunk side aluminum. The body needs to sit with the door jambs just in front of the tab for the door latch receiver. The front of the car needs to be propped on 5/8 to 3/4 spacer just to the outside of the hood hinge bracket mount.....iffin ya need a talk through you can gimme a call at 951-676-0191 7:00 to 2:30 Pac time....ah hell, you dial it I'll answer even if I've started drinkin (much more fun to talk to(says me) when I've add a phew)...da Bat
