Any one in here follow Formula 1? If so, who's the driver/ team you support? I started following F1 back in 2006, and in 2007 started following Hamilton and Mclaren. But currently I support Haas as a team. Still follow Hamilton though.

Have you watched F1 Drive to survive on Netflix? Great series

Yes! Been following since before Nigel Mansell was king :D

Now that the F1 channel has opened up legal watching it's become a lot easier. I've been a Verstappen fan the last few years. Of the new young drivers I prefer LeClerc - he's had some great drives. Russell is interesting too.

Looking forward to Italy tomorrow!

Followed F1 since the late 80s and was able to attend a couple of races when they were in Indianapolis. Hoping to Turn Marshal in Austin someday before I get too old.

Really hoping to see a battle this year with Honda and Red Bull stepping up in performance (at least in the first race). Gets a bit stale when the Silver Arrows continue domination year after year.

I'm also looking forward to next year to see if HAAS has the ability to run mid-pack or better. This year is a write-off for them it seems, but I am glad to see them making efforts.

I strongly suspect that it won't be Haas next year. Gene's pay driver's daddy has evidenced strong interest in owning an F1 team, not just sponsoring one. Also, I get the feeling that Gene is frustrated with the lack of success with years of effort - he isn't used to that.

I basically see Mazepin as Stroll 2.0. But less talented. I think if not next year, he'll buy out Haas the following year. Which is sad but understandable.

I can say that I witnessed a Haas win of the Long Beach Grand Prix!
OK, it was a Carl Haas Lola...
And it was year number 1 (1975), so it was Formula 5000.
That was my first car race ever as an 11 year old, and I've been a fan/enthusiast of all racing ever since.
They had 500cc GP bikes back then at LB too!

I love the tech, and the drivers are superhuman these days, but I sure would like to see the current field out there in 70's spec cars!

Hola Guys,
Just read that Miami will host a Formula 1 GP in 2022. The track will be build around the Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Dolphins. It will be a road course 3.36 miles long, with 19 planned corners. Possible date: 2nd Qtr. Should be fun!

Huge F1 fan here!
Kimi has always been my favorite driver. Now that he is relegated to a less competitive team I dont really have much(any) chance of him ever winning again. I just hope for close competition between the top couple teams. Gets boring seeing Mercedes run away with it every year. Don't really care is Lewis or Max when the title but it sure would be nice to see it come down to the last race for a change.

F1, Indy Car, Potato, PotAto. I can see/hear/smell and even feel the Long Beach Grand Prix from my window.

F1 and Indy car seem nothing alike to me. Nothing is close to the tech in F1. Love it.

Followed F1 way back when, even bought tamiya models of the 6 wheeled car!! Since I returned to NL and being Dutch started following again when Max V. showed up. I hope he will win this year, looking forward to all the battles with Hamilton!!

What about without Formula 1? I have a subscription to Megogo, I can watch sports as much as I want. I recently bought a $ 230 large Scepter monitor (https://homemakerguide.com/best-gaming-monitor-under-300/) for my computer. Now you can watch as many sports as you like without entering into discussions with your wife and children for the right to choose the broadcast.

I was a big fan until drivers started using it as their political platform. Haven't watch since.

My first attended F1 GP was at the 1973 USPG at Watkins Glen. I was there for all the usual racing fan reasons plus to see my favorite F1 driver of the time, Jackie Stewart. That I did and up close in the paddock, where in the old days, one could easily get very close. Unfortunately Jackie's teammate Francois Cevert was killed in practice. Jackie didn't race, but retired one race earlier than planned. I attended Formula 1 GP races at Watkins Glen, Mosport and Long Breach thru 1978, after which I moved from NY State to California. Enjoyed Laguna Seca, Sears Point and other California tracks ever since. I'm still a F1 fan, but less so in recent decades, where, to me, the cars and engineering seem to dictate much more of the outcomes than the drivers.

I was also @ the 1973 USGP at Watkins Glen - Jackie took one last practice lap after Cevert crashed which was on saturday I believe - F1 racing was a very dangerous sport in those days. For me the sunday race was a let down, I too had been a fan of Jackie & his teammate. Anyway I agree with your last sentence.

I think a lot of car enthusiast loves Formula 1. I do enjoy watching it and I look forward to seeing Monaco GP this weekend.
