I'm considering electric power steering for my roadster. I would appreciate any suggestions for source and experience with electric power steering.

FYI - if you're going with a Coyote, you can't use the e-Powersteering setup - it won't fit

I have it and love it. You can go the pick and pull route and it’s very low dollar, or check out epowersteering.com which has a complete package for the MK4, that’s the route I went.

PS makes a big difference doesn't it?

I installed the epowersteering system in my Mk4 last month. What a difference. The system is working great. I was able to adjust the caster to 5 degrees and that greatly improved tracking and handling. No more twitchy feeling at highway speeds. Since it is adjustable, I can easily go from full assist to no assist when I want. Very happy I made the conversion to PS.

I'm using the Coyote engine package, where does the interference take place? Might be something I can fabricate my way out of?

the whole engine is too wide for the e-powersteering setup, I had to return mine...
you can do the DIY versions though as some have stated above

I have put in electric power steering in a lot of my muscle cars, but for my MK4 Roadster I went with the Volvo electric power steering pump and MustangII power steering rack. You can see details and pictures: https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?38584-MKIV-Roadster-Re-build-after-accident! Hope this helps!

If you end up having to go with a traditional PS pump, I highly recommend the KRC system. It’s very easy to install and the pump fits perfectly into a notch in the front of the Coyote. Tip: Use the lowest boost valve.
