I’m working on mocking up my dash and it seems like it’s cut pretty weird. You can see in the first photo the heavy dark line just to the left of the clamp. That’s the center of the dash. I have that lined up even with the top of the bar like the manual says to. I also used a level on the bottom to ensure it’s in right. You can see on the second photo what I’m talking about. The center mark is just the right of the clamp but I have a “flat spot” that seem to be offset cheating toward the passenger side. Is this just how they are or did I get a goofy one? Also please ignore the other switch marks on the dash. I have no idea how this will ultimately look. This is a rough draft at best.

Close as I can tell if you're looking for symmetry you'll be looking for a long time. This applies to more than just the dash.
There are better ways to spend your time.

Dash is symmetrical. The hoop usually isn't. Doesn't matter. Both are covered by the body. Bunch of threads describing the proper location of the dash.

Got it.
I searched using the wrong key words. I think I found what I needed.

Center the dash using the steering shaft cut out. Have ~3/16"of the frame visible behind the dash at the corners, despite what the manual is telling you.
