View Full Version : Been a while...some serpentine belt to v belt questions

I've bought a Summit Racing crate 302 to replace my tired donor engine and would like to clean up the front if possible. The donor has nothing in front of the cam cover, no balance, no pully's or water pump, so I figured now would be the best time to clean it up, make it look more period correct, of any. Anyone know what I would need for this? Specialized or different parts and all that? Thanks all! John Oh, and what happened to all my "posts" ? I had well over 500 and was a master builder now I'm a jr. member with 29? What happened?

I think I'll go with the March Serpentine belt setup, cleans up a lot of clutter using some nice looking brackets and hardware, if I don't get any help on this one.
I was in the same situation with my 427. I went with Gordon Levys setup. He will sell you everything you need, so far it has been working great. I also did Jones Racing PS which he also sells. I'm sure he has something for a 302.
I felt like I was rolling the dice with Summit and it's always nice to support local vendors on this site.
