Anyone out there have a discreet dashcam installed?
Not knowing if it exists, maybe a small waterproof camera separate from the brain?

They make some in the rear view mirror now (or a slide over). But the issue with that or a regular one is the wiring. You could hide one up in the nose and not have to worry about wires running up the dash.

Hey Mike,
I was thinking about a mini camera in the nose and the main brain in the cab somewhere. However, I can't find a dashcam with a separate waterproof camera from the brain components.

They have several that come with a second wired camera for the "rear" camera. Could use it that way...

Or wire a regular one up right between the seats just below the body line? Wouldn't be the best angle but clean with the wires.

Look at some aftermarket backup cameras. They come in wireless and hard wired models. They are waterproof due to there design to be used on or below the bumper. One note, the wireless do get interference from blue tooth signals.
